Meet our sweet, old gal Bailey. Bailey was once an adored family member. Sadly her owner got sick and went into assisted living. The owner's family moved into the home with Bailey but was evicted shortly thereafter and left Bailey behind. Bailey found herself in a kill shelter in Georgia.


We couldn't let that be her fate. And we hope you'll help Bailey's story have a happy ending. Bailey is estimated to be 9-10 years old. Her senior panel blood work shows she is a healthy girl with all levels in the normal range! Bailey loves people. She just wants to be where ever you are. She's a mellow gal who's a bit of a couch potato. All she really wants is a soft place to lay and someone to show her a little love. She so deserves it!


Bailey would do best in a home that's not overly active and is fine with other dogs but doesn't engage in play. She is currently on joint supplements and gets around well, just a little slower.

Bailey is being fostered in NC but can be transported to MD or NJ for an approved adopter. 


~~The Last Resort is a foster based rescue. Our dogs are in our foster homes all up and down the east coast. We do not have a facility in which you can visit. We find this a huge benefit because we learn our dogs and are able to educate our adopters on what it’s like to have them live in your home. Part of our process, once pre-approved, is to speak with the foster for the dog you’re interested in.
